Information
  • Previous alloy-name by LM was WAB-2 (change of alloy name year 2004, due to slight change in chemical composition).
  • The great benefit with the alloy and the castingmethod of Sprayforming is that it creates a tensionfree, fully homogenous material that is easier to machine and friendlier towards the machining tools (up to 40 % saving costs of tools due to good chipping).
  • 25 % extended lifespan of products due to higher pressure resistance, good homogeneity
Areas of use

Same areas of use as AB 340/380 and AB 340 HSC, however, more resistant alloy with a higher degree of abrasion-resistance and extended lifespan on produced parts. Used for example in bending- and wiping-blocks and pressing in stainless steels, deep-drawing of seamless tubes and specially alloyed steel sheets etc.
