Information
- Previous alloy-name by LM was WAB-3 (change of alloy name year 2004, due to slight change in chemical composition).
- The great benefit with the alloy and the castingmethod of Sprayforming is that it creates a tensionfree, fully homogenous material that is easier to machine and friendlier towards the machining tools (up to 40 % saving costs of tools due to good chipping).
- 25 % extended lifespan of products due to higher pressure resistance, good homogeneity
Areas of use
Same as AB 340. Parts for moulding tools in forming and/or drawing stainless steel-alloys. Used for example in bending- and wiping-blocks, pressing in stainless steel, deep-drawing of seamless tubes and specially alloyed steel sheets etc.
